Care & Maintenance

  • Re-oil the maple top monthly (or when dry) with John Boos Mystery Oil; seal with Board Cream for added moisture resistance.
  • Wipe spills promptly; avoid standing water or harsh chemicals on the wood surface.
  • Clean stainless steel legs with non-chloride cleansers (e.g., Bar Keepers Friend) and soft cloths; rinse and dry.
  • Avoid abrasive pads, wire brushes or cleaners containing bleach or quaternary salts.

Regular oiling not only enriches the wood grain but also helps resist staining, cracking and bacteria harboring.

Wood is a natural material: color and grain variations make each Boos table unique. Slight dimensional tolerances (±0.5") are normal and within NSF requirements.
