Model SC115-O | Edge-grain butcher block | Penetrating oil finish | NSF

Give your prep line, bakery, or fabrication space the legendary durability of a John Boos butcher-block surface. Crafted from sustainably-harvested Northern Hard Rock Maple, this 10 ft work-table top delivers a rock-solid, food-safe platform that stands up to decades of heavy commercial use.

Why You’ll Love It
  • Extra-large 120" (10 ft) length provides uninterrupted workspace for high-volume production.
  • Generous 42" depth accommodates mixers, sheet pans, and full-size prep projects.
  • 1-3/4" thick edge-grain construction balances knife-friendly performance with exceptional strength.
  • Laminated Northern Hard Rock Maple with full-length outer rails for maximum stability.
  • Penetrating Boos Block® oil finish seals & nourishes the wood while remaining easy to renew on-site.
  • NSF certified for safe use in commercial foodservice environments.
  • Non-reversible design keeps the working face perfectly flat and ready for action.
  • Made in Effingham, Illinois, by John Boos & Co. (est. 1887).

Care & Maintenance
  • Re-oil the surface with Boos Block® Mystery Oil or equivalent mineral oil every 3–4 weeks, or when the wood looks dry.
  • Wipe clean with damp cloth & mild soap; avoid harsh chemicals or soaking.
  • Sanitize with food-safe vinegar solution or NSF-approved wood cleaner.
  • Lightly sand and re-oil as needed to refresh the finish after heavy wear.

Following these simple steps preserves the warranty and extends the life of your top.

Shipping & Installation Notes
  • Ships as a single butcher-block slab—base, legs, & mounting hardware sold separately.
  • Due to size & weight, lift-gate service or a dock-accessible address is strongly recommended.
  • Allow wood to acclimate to room temperature & humidity for 24 hours before final installation.
Wood movement notice: Solid-wood tops naturally expand and contract with changes in environment. Mount using slotted brackets or elongated holes to allow for seasonal movement and prevent cracking.
