Care & Maintenance
Maintain the chromium-oxide “shield” that keeps stainless steel stainless by cleaning regularly with non-chloride detergents and a soft cloth.
- Wipe spills promptly; never allow standing salt solutions or food acids to dry on the surface.
- For routine cleaning use mild soap, ammonia or a non-chloride stainless cleaner.
- Remove tough stains with Bar Keepers Friend® applied parallel to the grain, then rinse and dry.
- Avoid steel wool, wire brushes and abrasive chloride cleaners—they can cause pitting and rust.
Tip: Finish with John Boos Stainless Steel Cleaner/Polish to restore the factory sheen.
