The HDCI HydroCool Insert is designed for commercial and institutional buildings or large food preparation facilities where hot drain water must be cooled. It is constructed from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel and includes a drain tempering valve that activates when drainage fluids reach or exceed 110°F.
The insert has a perforated bottom with 1/32-inch seepage holes, overflow holes on both sides, and 1-3/4-inch flanges on the length sides. Its specified plumbing assembly includes a flexible hose with water hammer arrestor and backflow preventer. The HDCI is a one-piece assembly plus the grating section; the trough is sold separately.
Hot-drain cooling
Designed for applications where hot drain water must be cooled, including commercial and institutional buildings or large food preparation facilities.
Temperature-triggered tempering valve
The drain tempering valve is triggered when drainage fluids are at or above 110°F.
