No, this model features an integral mechanical temperature sensor that does not require an electrical connection for operation.
An RPZ (Reduced Pressure Zone) valve, supplied by Eagle, is required and must be installed by a plumbing contractor. It should be mounted a minimum of 12 inches above the trough flood level and be accessible for testing and service.
The backflow preventer must be tested periodically in compliance with local codes, but at least once per year. Refer to Watts instruction sheets (IS-TK-DP/DL, IS-TK-9A, IS-TK-99E, IS-TK-99D) for field testing procedures.
The Cool Trough® floor pan and access compartment are constructed from durable 14 gauge, Type 304 stainless steel.
Eagle Group provides a limited warranty for this product, covering defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of original installation, not to exceed 18 months from the date of shipment from Eagle. This warranty has specific terms regarding maintenance, misuse, installation, and travel expenses for service.
