The backflow preventer assembly must be tested periodically in compliance with local codes, but at least once per year, to ensure proper function and safety.
For the trough, the rough-in hole should be 12.25 inches wide, 15 inches long, and 4.25 inches deep. Separate dimensions are provided for the plumbing compartment rough-in.
