For boilerless (Spritzer) models like the C4 ET 20.20GS-N, inlet water requirements include a maximum of 0.2 ppm for monochloramine and free chlorine, max 60 ppm chloride, 70-125 ppm hardness, pH value of 6.5-8.5, 50-100 ppm total alkalinity, max 0.1 ppm iron, max 13 ppm silica, and 70-125 ppm TDS. Proper water treatment is required if your water does not meet these standards.
A minimum clearance of 20 inches to the left of the unit is recommended for service access. A minimum clearance of 20 inches is required on both sides of the unit from nearby heat sources, which can be reduced to 2 inches with a Convotherm heat shield and extension. The oven cannot be located beneath a fire suppression sprinkler nozzle.
Yes, proper hood clearance is required for gas units. The required clearance from unobstructed rear exhaust pipes and any surface collecting grease or flammable material is 16 inches. ConvoVent is not approved for use with gas units. Local and state codes always take precedence.
