As a boilerless (Spritzer) model, the oven requires water with specific characteristics: TDS 50-150 ppm, Hardness 70-125 ppm (4-7 gpg), pH 6.5-8.5, Chloride max 50 ppm, Iron max 0.1 ppm, Silica max 13 ppm, Free Chlorine max 0.1 ppm, and Monochloramine max 0.1 ppm. Water treatment is required if your supply does not meet these standards, and failure to comply may affect warranty coverage.
The Convotherm C4 ET 20.10GS-N is designed for ventless operation, meaning a traditional ventilation hood is not required. However, local codes and regulations should always be consulted.
This product comes with a limited warranty of two (2) years for parts and labor, from the date of installation, or thirty (30) months from the date of shipment, whichever comes first. Using non-approved parts, cleaning solutions, or improper installation and maintenance can void the warranty.
The oven requires a dedicated 120V, 60Hz, 1-phase electrical circuit within 3 feet, a dedicated 3/4 inch NPT gas supply line with a shut-off valve within 3 feet (for Natural Gas 7-14" WC), and two cold-water inlets (1/2" ID with 3/4" GHT-M connections) within 3 feet. A floor drain must be located within 12 feet, ideally 12-24 inches outside the right rear of the oven base, but not directly beneath it.
While not strictly required, it is strongly recommended to purchase a Convotherm Installation Kit (Part Number 11000115816 for gas large models) as it includes most essential components needed for a standard installation. Proper installation by a Factory Authorized Servicer is recommended to maintain warranty coverage.
