This unit comes with a seven (7) year parts, labor, and compressor warranty from the date of installation, or eighty-seven (87) months from the date of shipment from Continental Refrigerator, whichever comes first.
The D1FENHD model uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, which is an environmentally friendly option.
To maintain the warranty, proper maintenance is required, including regular cleaning of condenser coils. The manual recommends monthly cleaning.
The warranty can be voided by improper operation due to incorrect installation, negligent cleaning and maintenance, out-of-tolerance voltage conditions, inadequate wiring, accidental damage, unauthorized modifications, or the use of non-authorized services or non-OEM parts.
No, the warranty does not cover any shipping costs for defective parts. Defective parts must be returned within thirty (30) days with cabinet model, serial number, and a return material authorization number.
The labor warranty covers self-contained units during standard working hours and excludes overtime rates. Purchasers must contact the factory for service authorization before employing labor and supply a labor invoice with the service authorization number within thirty (30) days of completion, with all work completed within ninety (90) days of authorization.
