Dual Temperature Operation

Functions as either a hot serving unit or a refrigerated cold pan with a simple flip of a selector switch.

Dual Temperature Operation

Durable Stainless Steel Construction

The top and inner liner are constructed from 18 gauge, type 304 stainless steel, featuring one-piece, all-welded construction with coved corners (minimum 1/4" radius) for enhanced durability and easy cleaning.

Efficient Insulation

The pan is fully insulated with high-density fiberglass (1-3/8" thick on all sides, 1-1/2" thick on the bottom) and enclosed in a 22 gauge galvanized steel outer case for maximum energy efficiency and retention.

Immersion Type Heating Element

An immersion type heating element is provided in the bottom of the pan, along with a perforated stainless steel sheath cover and a thermostat control for precise hot food holding. Water must be used during heating operation.

Self-Contained Refrigeration System

Includes a fully self-contained condensing unit with a hermetically sealed compressor and a thermostat control, charged with CFC-free refrigerant and ready to operate.

Easy Installation with Gasket

Features a factory-applied vinyl gasket under the beaded edge that forms a seal to the countertop, preventing seepage and simplifying installation.

Flexible Pan Accommodation

Designed to accommodate standard 12" x 20" pans using removable separator channels and pan rails, or fractional size pans with the use of optional adapter bars.

Intuitive Controls

Pre-wired with a hot/cold selector switch that prevents dual operation, along with required thermostat controls and pilot lights for heating and cooling.

Integrated Drain System

A 3/4" diameter drain with a strainer, 4" copper nipple, and valve is provided for efficient draining.

Pre-wired Power Cord

The unit is provided with a 6-foot long, 3-wire cord and a twist-lock plug for convenient electrical connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, for proper operation and to prevent damage to the immersion heating element, it must be completely submerged in water at all times during the heating cycle. The water level should be checked before operation and approximately every 4 hours of continuous use.
The unit will be ready for serving in approximately 30 minutes after initiating either the heating or cooling cycle.
To clean, use warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly to remove all residues. It is crucial to never use chloride-based products, steel wool, or abrasive materials, as they can scar, mark, or corrode the stainless steel pans. The condenser coil and heater sheath should also be cleaned regularly.
When installing the unit in an island counter, it is recommended to provide two grill openings (approximately 18" x 18" of free air for intake and exhaust) at opposite ends of the counter, and a minimum clearance of 14" at the top, 24" at the back, and 10" at each side of the enclosure to ensure proper air circulation.
No, the Atlas Metal RM-HP-6 unit is not intended for continuous 24/7 operation.
First, turn the master switch to the 'OFF' position and remove all serving pans. Then, completely drain any hot water from the unit. Turn the selector switch to 'COLD' and then the master switch to 'ON'. A safety device will prevent the cold cycle from energizing until the stainless liner temperature is at 120 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
