Dual Temperature Operation

Transforms from a hot serving unit to a refrigerated cold pan instantly with a single hot/cold selector switch, preventing dual operation.

Dual Temperature Operation

High-Quality Stainless Steel Construction

The top and inner liner are crafted from durable 18 gauge, type 304 stainless steel, featuring a die-stamped raised perimeter bead and one-piece welded construction with coved corners for sanitation.

Efficient Insulation

The pan is fully insulated with 1-3/8" thick high-density fiberglass on all sides and 1-1/2" on the bottom, enclosed by a 22 gauge galvanized steel outer case for superior temperature retention.

Immersion Heating Element

An immersion-type heating element is located at the bottom of the pan, protected by a perforated stainless steel sheath cover. Requires water submersion for proper operation.

Self-Contained Refrigeration

Includes a fully self-contained condensing unit with a hermetically sealed compressor and CFC-free refrigerant, ready to operate upon installation.

Integrated Controls

Pre-wired with a hot/cold selector switch, thermostat controls for both heating and cooling, and a pilot light for operational status.

Drainage System

Equipped with a 3/4" diameter drain, strainer, 4" copper nipple, and valve for easy water removal.

Flexible Pan Accommodation

Designed to hold standard 12" x 20" pans using removable separator channels and pan rails, or fractional size pans with optional adapter bars.

Countertop Seal

A solid vinyl gasket under the beaded edge ensures a tight seal to the countertop, preventing seepage and protecting the counter surface.

Safety Device

The unit is equipped with a safety device that prevents the cold cycle from energizing until the stainless steel liner temperature is 120 degrees Fahrenheit or below after hot operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Atlas Metal RM-HP-5 requires a counter cutout opening of 71 1/2 inches wide by 24 1/2 inches deep for proper installation.
Yes, when operating in hot mode, the unit must be filled with water until the heating element is completely submerged. Failure to do so will damage the heating element and void the warranty. Water level should be checked approximately every 4 hours of continuous operation.
The unit will be ready for serving in approximately 30 minutes, whether operating in hot or cold mode.
No, the unit is equipped with a hot/cold selector switch that prevents dual operation. It must be set to either hot or cold mode.
The operator side of the counter should be completely open for air circulation. If installing in an island counter, it's recommended to provide two grill openings (approx. 18" x 18" each) for intake and exhaust at opposite ends, with minimum clearances of 14" at the top, 24" at the back, and 10" at each side of the enclosure.
Never clean the pans or unit with chloride-based products, steel wool, or abrasive materials, as this can cause damage and void the warranty. Use soapy warm water and rinse thoroughly to remove all residues. The condenser coil and heater sheath should also be cleaned regularly.
