Wood Top Care & Maintenance
- Clean daily with mild soap & water; avoid abrasive powders.
- Wipe spills promptly—standing moisture can damage wood.
- If the surface is cut or sanded, reseal immediately with a food-safe urethane gel.
- For unfinished tops (or after refinishing) oil the surface: once a day for a week, once a week for a month, then once a month.
- Never submerge or pressure-wash the butcher block.
